![]() This young Cinereous Vulture was found in October, on a roundabout in a town in the North of Portugal; half starved, dehydrated and weak. After a couple of months' care at three different rehabiltation centres, we returned it to the wild this week, before a rapt group of pupils from a local school, who had a chance to get up close and personal with the species, and learn more about its crucial role in keeping the region healthy. Now, thanks to VCF's GPS transmitter on its back, this youngster will help us learn more about its species. Photo: ATNatureza
